OUR OWN is proud to announce the application has opened for the 2021 “Our Own Scholarship.” OUR OWN will be awarding $10,000 in scholarships to college-bound high school graduates throughout Southern California. With the support of our community partner OLIPOP , we will be adding $5,000 of funding, bringing the total awarded amount to $15,000.
OUR OWN serves as a catalyst for innovation and epicenter to provide resources in untapped communities. We are dismantling systemic barriers in education to further bridge the gap and ensure racial equity and social justice.
We understand the challenges so many students are faced with as they decide to pursue post-secondary education. Often being a decision made based on financial resources versus dreams and potential. This scholarship will serve to change our communities mindset and reimagine what they can achieve through education.
